Yosemite is in my opinion the most beautiful national park in the world. Actually, without its beauty, the concept of National Parks would have been far different. It took time for humans to realize that nature should be preserved and that laws are required. John Muir invited the president Theodore Roosevelt to show him just how beautiful the place was; it was being destructed by miners searching for gold and woodcutters.
“There can be nothing in the world more beautiful than the Yosemite, the groves of the giant sequoias…our people should see to it that they are preserved for their children and their Children’s children forever, with their majestic beauty all unmarred,” said Theodore Roosevelt.
